Focused Lab Recap: Explore Advanced ACL and PCL Reconstruction Techniques

At Arthrex Colorado Springs, we recently had the privilege of hosting a dedicated training session with a local healthcare professional, who spent the day exploring the latest advancements in ACL and PCL reconstruction. This personalized lab created the opportunity to take a deep dive into new techniques and technologies designed to make procedures more efficient, reproducible, and patient-focused.

Harvesting the Quad Tendon Autograft

The session began with hands-on training using the QuadPro Tendon Harvester. We discussed the growing role of the quad tendon autograft in knee ligament surgery and how this tool allows surgeons to achieve consistent results while minimizing donor site morbidity.

Streamlined Graft Preparation

Next, they worked with the FiberTag TightRope® II, exploring how it simplifies graft prep and fixation. The design allows for secure tensioning, providing confidence in both intraoperative handling and long-term stability.

Tunnel Preparation with Precision

The lab continued with the FlipCutter® III, where they practiced retrograde tunnel drilling techniques. This innovative tool provides minimally invasive options for ACL and PCL socket creation, supporting bone preservation and precise tunnel placement.

Simplifying Graft Passage

Finally, the session wrapped up with the FiberSnare, highlighting how its intuitive design makes graft passage smoother and more efficient.

Advancing Surgical Excellence

While this was an intimate, one-on-one training, the impact is far-reaching. By spending focused time with these advanced technologies, our local healthcare professionals are helping to bring the latest surgical innovations back to his practice — and ultimately, to his patients.

At Arthrex Colorado Springs, we are committed to supporting surgeons with personalized education opportunities like this, ensuring they have the tools, training, and confidence to continue raising the bar in orthopedic care.
