Focused Lab Recap: Advancing Shoulder Repair and Reconstruction

At Arthrex Colorado Springs, we recently hosted a hands-on training session dedicated to advanced shoulder repair and arthroplasty techniques. This focused lab allowed surgeons to practice cutting-edge procedures designed to improve outcomes in both soft tissue repair and joint replacement.

Rotator Cuff Augmentation with CuffMend
The session began with the CuffMend rotator cuff augmentation technique, which utilizes a human dermal allograft as a reinforcement patch following cuff tears and repair. This biologic augmentation is designed to restore strength, support tendon healing, and reduce re-tear risk by providing durable tissue reinforcement.

Total Shoulder Arthroplasty with the Eclipse System
Surgeons then transitioned to total shoulder joint arthroplasty using the Eclipse system. This platform emphasizes bone preservation and anatomic reconstruction, offering reliable fixation and streamlined instrumentation for reproducible results.

Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty with the Revers System
The lab concluded with reverse total shoulder arthroplasty using the Revers system, which is engineered for stability and mobility in cases of massive cuff deficiency. The modular design and implant options support tailored surgical solutions for complex cases.

Commitment to Comprehensive Shoulder Solutions
By combining biologic augmentation with advanced arthroplasty techniques, this session highlighted Arthrex’s commitment to providing surgeons with innovative tools across the full spectrum of shoulder care. Through hands-on training, participants gained valuable experience to enhance both surgical performance and patient outcomes.
