Advancing Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle Techniques
Our Arthrex Colorado Springs team recently hosted a hands-on lab focused on Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) for the foot and ankle—highlighting cutting-edge approaches that reduce tissue trauma, speed recovery, and elevate patient outcomes. Partnering with a local surgeon, we guided participants through four innovative procedures designed to enhance precision and efficiency in the OR.
The session showcased:
MIS Bunion – streamlining hallux valgus correction with smaller incisions and less disruption.
MIS Achilles – providing a percutaneous solution for strong, reliable tendon repair.
MIS Calc Slide – enabling controlled calcaneal osteotomies through a limited approach.
FibuLock® – offering secure, intramedullary fibular fixation with a low-profile design.
By combining these MIS techniques, surgeons gained hands-on experience in applying minimally invasive principles to achieve powerful results across the forefoot, midfoot, and hindfoot.
